Nurse for Akademiska Home Care Department

Infectious Diseases Unit We are Akademiska Hospital – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a regional hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we serve two million people in central Sweden. Something is always happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother is operated on, a colleague is hailed as a hero. With us, you will experience both challenging trials and amazing moments, in a strong community with colleagues. Welcome to apply! Our Operations Are you looking for a modern and flexible job where you get both freedom, security, and the opportunity to use all your skills in your daily work? Then you might be just the right person for us. The Akademiska Home Care Department is expanding and we now need more colleagues for our unit. The Akademiska Home Care Department provides acute specialist care – in the patient's home. Instead of the patient being hospitalized, you and your colleagues visit the patient at home to provide the care that would normally be given in inpatient wards. You build relationships, see the whole picture, and make a real difference for the patient. This care model has been applied in several places across Sweden for several years and demonstrates very high patient satisfaction and patient participation. Patient visits occur according to need and diagnosis, typically one to three times per day. The work is coordinated by a team center together with mobile teams that plan and prioritize both physical and digital visits. The mobile team, consisting of a nurse, comprises two people and patient meetings take place physically in the home and digitally via video visits with the team center's nurse and the responsible physician. Your Assignment As a mobile nurse in the Akademiska Home Care Department, you will be responsible for caring for patients in their home environment. During home visits, you may perform tasks such as blood sampling, IV antibiotics, injections, and fluid therapy. Initially, you will work with standard nursing tasks during home visits and, with experience, also with responsibility for the team center. There is always a responsible physician at the hospital who, in close collaboration with the nurse at the team center, plans the patient's care. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with an interest in this form of care. Experience in inpatient care and/or home healthcare is a merit. A valid driver's license is required. Your Competencies We would like you to work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what you start, and meet deadlines. That you are confident in uncertain situations, stand up for your own opinions, have the courage to speak up, and can distinguish between the issue and the person. That you adapt and find win-win solutions through a pragmatic focus on the common goal and that you find quick solutions to emerging problems. You should be flexible in your thinking, solution-oriented, and enjoy development and digitalization of healthcare. What We Offer We offer a permanent full-time position, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may apply. Working hours are initially scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts, but as operations scale up, night shifts may also be possible by agreement. Recruitment is ongoing. • Orientation consisting of both clinical and theoretical sessions tailored individually for 2-5 weeks. Part of the orientation is conducted at inpatient wards in surgery, urology, or infectious diseases depending on your prior experience in these areas. • We apply healthy scheduling with a focus on recovery. Day shifts start at 07:30 in the morning and evening shifts end at 21:30. • An inpatient care supplement of 2000 kr/month for a 100% position is provided in addition to base salary, and a rotation supplement is provided for night shifts. • Opportunities for rotation within other inpatient wards are available based on your preferences. With us, you receive benefits that make a difference. Read more about benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/). Want to Know More? Do not hesitate to contact one of the responsible persons for the Akademiska Home Care Department: Department Manager Magnus Ekström, 018-617 00 34 Coordinator Madeleine Bäfve, 018-617 24 69 Trade Union Representative can be reached via the switchboard, 018-611 00 00 Want to Work With Us? Researcher in Psychology

Researcher in Psychology Do you want to work on research supported by competent and friendly colleagues in an international environment? Do you want an employer that invests in sustainable employee engagement and offers secure, favorable working conditions? We welcome your application for a position as a researcher at the Department of Psychology, Uppsala University. Description: We are seeking a driven and experienced researcher and psychologist who wants to become part of the DIMFI research project at Uppsala Child and Baby Lab. Your role involves both developing new knowledge and disseminating research results to both the research community and the general public. You will particularly work on deepening the understanding of how neuro-ocular markers, based on corneal reflection eye tracking, can be linked to psychiatric conditions such as ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression. Transdiagnostic components, such as emotion regulation or sensory sensitivity, are also important areas that the research will illuminate. Communication occurs primarily through scientific publications and conference contributions, but popular science and mass media formats may also be relevant. DIMFI – DIMensional Fidelity – is a research project with the official title "Multidimensional Profiles of Neuropsychiatric Biomarkers from Eye Movement Measurements" (ethics approval Dnr 2024‑00648‑01). The project combines advanced eye tracking technology with psychological measurement methods to map biological mechanisms that affect mental health. The work focuses on identifying neuropsychological biomarkers that can be related to different psychiatric profiles. Through a transdiagnostic perspective, where DSM‑5 is complemented with Research Domain Criteria (RDoC), the project aims to capture more nuanced dimensions of behavior and brain function than traditional diagnostic categories allow. As a member of the research group, you will become an important part of a project at the forefront of biomarker research and with the potential to change how we understand and assess mental health. Responsibilities: Your tasks include data collection using eye tracking and web forms, statistical analysis of data, writing scientific texts, and active participation in research group meetings and development work. Qualifications: Applicants must hold a doctoral degree, be a licensed psychologist, and have documented clinical experience. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to transform research results into clear messages tailored to different target audiences, including those outside academia. We place great value on personal qualities. You need to be able to collaborate with researchers from multiple disciplines as well as with actors in both healthcare and the private sector. You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, are accustomed to managing both short and longer timeframes, and thrive in an environment where some tasks are outward-facing and require good collaboration skills. The position also assumes that you take your own initiatives, drive processes forward, and feel confident working independently. You express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Desirable/Meriting qualifications: Experience with eye tracking methods (including analysis and visualization) is highly meriting. About the position: The employment is permanent. Full-time (100%). Diversity of Plasmid-Dependent Phages in Aquatic Ecosystems

Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment Third-cycle subject area Biology Description of the doctoral project Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the most pressing global health challenges of our time. A key driver of AMR spread is the horizontal transfer of antibiotic resistance genes via conjugative plasmids — mobile genetic elements that move between bacteria. Plasmid-dependent phages (PDPs) are viruses that specifically infect bacteria carrying these plasmids, making them a potentially powerful but largely overlooked tool in controlling resistance gene transmission. This PhD project is part of ECOPHARM, a research project funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (Wallenberg Academy Fellows 2025) and is based at the Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment, SLU Uppsala. The overarching aim of ECOPHARM is to decipher the mechanisms driving PDP interactions with conjugative plasmids and bacterial hosts, and to understand their impact on antibiotic resistance gene transmission in aquatic environments. As a PhD student, you will investigate the diversity, ecology, and functional interactions of plasmid-dependent phages in aquatic ecosystems. The work will combine environmental sampling, cultivation-based approaches, metagenomics, genome analysis, and experimental infection assays. You will work in a dynamic and internationally connected research environment at the intersection of microbial ecology, virus-host coevolution, and AMR research. To learn more about our research you can check out our webpage https://www.bionomics-mmlab.com/ About the position The PhD student will be expected to: Design and carry out field sampling of aquatic environments to characterize PDP communities Perform laboratory experiments to study PDP–plasmid–host interactions under controlled conditions Apply metagenomic and bioinformatic tools to analyze microbial and viral community data Contribute to experimental work on phage isolation, cultivation, and infection assays Present findings at lab meetings, national and international conferences, and contribute to scientific publications Adhere to lab policies on data management practices Communicate progress and bottlenecks timely and clearly Collaborate with national and international project partners within the ECOPHARM network Requirements To meet the general entry requirements you must have been awarded a second-cycle (Master's) qualification, satisfied the requirements for courses comprising at least 240 credits of which at least 60 credits were awarded in the second-cycle, or acquired substantially equivalent knowledge in some other way in Sweden or abroad (Higher Education Ordinance 1993:100, Chapter 7, Section 39). Specific entry requirements for the third-cycle courses and study programme in biology. To meet the specific entry requirements, you must have at least 90 HEC in biology-related subjects. This must include a degree project and at least 30 HEC must be at second-cycle level. You must also meet the equivalent English language requirements as those necessary for the Swedish upper-secondary qualification Engelska B/6. Your profile Required: A Master's degree in microbiology, biology, molecular biology, environmental science, or a closely related field Solid background in microbiology or molecular biology Experience with laboratory techniques relevant to microbial or environmental research Proficiency in written and spoken English Highly desirable: Experience with bioinformatics or computational analysis of sequencing data Familiarity with phage biology, plasmid biology, or antimicrobial resistance research Experience with aquatic or environmental sampling Personal qualities we are looking for: High agency — you take initiative, define problems independently, and push work forward engaging your supervisor Collaborative mindset — you contribute actively to a team environment and support those around you Clear communicator — you can convey complex ideas in writing and in person, to both specialist and non-specialist audiences Curiosity, rigor, and resilience in the face of scientific uncertainty About us The Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment is working with applied environmental science, with a national responsibility for assessing the condition of Swedish surface waters with respect to water chemistry, pollution and aquatic biota. The research focuses on geochemical and hydrological processes, aquatic ecology and biodiversity, microbial ecology as well as on environmental chemistry and aquatic ecotoxicology.
