About Us Uppsala Närakut is a modern general medicine clinic with a broad mandate. Here we meet patients of all ages – from children to elderly – with acute conditions that cannot wait until the next day. We work in multidisciplinary teams where general medicine, orthopedics, physiotherapy, and psychosocial support collaborate. The clinic has X-ray facilities, orthopedic specialists, and a social worker, which allows us to offer comprehensive patient care. Each year we see a large number of patients, and approximately one-third are under 18 years old. Our daily work is characterized by commitment, collaboration, and a desire to continuously develop. We have short decision-making paths and great opportunity to influence how we work – together. The Role As a general specialist with us, you work in the clinic in a team together with nurses, nursing assistants, and a social worker. You meet patients with varying acute conditions and get to use your full medical expertise. The role also includes medical management responsibility (MLA), where you become part of the management group and contribute to business development. Here you have the opportunity to influence working methods, processes, and flows, and drive improvements in close collaboration with colleagues and external partners such as Region Uppsala and Akademiska Hospital. Work is mainly scheduled during daytime hours, but variations in working hours may occur as the clinic is open year-round from 07:00–23:00. About You Requirements: Specialist physician in general medicine, emergency medicine, orthopedics, internal medicine, or surgery. Experience with clinic work in primary care Good ability to work independently and in teams Meritorious: Experience in acute healthcare Experience in business development Experience working within Region Uppsala You are confident in your professional role and enjoy working with acute patient encounters.
