Read on! About the Unit As a staff assistant at Uppland Air Wing, F 16, you are part of the wing staff. The wing staff is the highest staff level of the unit and has the main task of producing decision-making materials for the commander of F 16. The staff is responsible for receiving orders and directives from the Air Force Command and Military Region and breaking these down into tasks for the unit's subordinate units. The wing staff is the unit that prepares and issues the unit commander's assignments to directly subordinate units. Main Responsibilities As a staff assistant, you work to create structure and provide administrative support. You participate in the preparation, execution, and follow-up of planning meetings, in dialogues and leadership. You support the staff with administration in the systems PRIO and VIDAR. You are a resource and asset for the staff and can provide support as a participant in, for example, ceremonies, transportation, and visits. Work as a staff assistant within the staff requires independent individuals who can take considerable responsibility and are willing to learn. You will learn a lot about how an air wing operates and have the opportunity to build a large network of contacts within and outside the unit. This is a particularly suitable position if you intend to apply further to become an officer in the future. Examples of tasks within the staff assistant position: Supports planning and implementation Provides administrative support with, for example: orders, shopping carts, bookings, minute-taking, etc. Supports with preparing materials for the commander Supports with cooperation between other departments within the wing staff Participates in the unit's or company's training activities Within the Swedish Armed Forces, we always work as a team. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Completed military service or military basic training Good experience with Microsoft Office Express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Personal Characteristics You have a structured work approach, are attentive and flexible. You enjoy having multiple tasks in progress simultaneously and have the ability to adapt when conditions change. You take responsibility for your tasks, work independently when required, and get along well with others. With a professional and positive approach, you build trusted relationships in your surroundings. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. MERITORIOUS QUALIFICATIONS Driver's license category B Relevant experience from the Swedish Armed Forces, preferably the Air Force Service within a staff or leadership group Knowledge of the SAP/PRIO system.
