On the care ward, you will meet patients of various ages being treated for medical and surgical eye diseases. We offer stimulating work in basic and highly specialized eye surgery and in close collaboration with other units of the clinic. Job Duties The care ward consists of 12 beds and is open 24 hours a day. Here we care for both acute and elective patients scheduled for surgery. During evenings, nights, and weekends, we operate our acute reception and have a consultation telephone line on department 49. You will learn to work with technical equipment within eye care as well as conduct vision testing, etc. The care ward has high patient turnover and the average length of stay is two days, as most patients come from other regions in the country. About the Organization The Ophthalmology Section is located at our three hospitals in the county (Örebro, Karlskoga, and Lindesberg), with just over 145 employees, of which 22 work in administration.
