We work based on Lpfö 18 (rev 25) and a project-based approach where children's experiences, interests, and motivation form the foundation for projects and teaching. We have a shared focus on ensuring that each child has the opportunity to learn and develop according to their own conditions. To strengthen children's language development and communication opportunities, we use a language and knowledge-building approach where we are present educators who articulate and challenge children in their communication to develop further. Through our project-based approach, children have access to multiple creative forms of expression and thus different ways of learning. We have scheduled reflection time, both individual and with the work team, regular meetings for collegial learning, and access to guidance from special educators when needed. About the preschool Pärlan is an independent preschool on a Christian foundation located in the residential area of Brickebacken in Örebro. The preschool consists of three departments with a total of 55 children: Musslan (1-2 years), Snäckan (3-5 years), and Korallen (3-5 years). The preschool is located close to forest with a generous outdoor environment for children to play and learn. We also have proximity to Brickebacken Library and the area's many wonderful play environments. We are now in need of a preschool teacher for our team! We are looking for someone who is confident and engaged in your role and who can see the bigger picture and adapt to needs and situations. You have a good understanding of human differences and meet each child based on their conditions and needs. In the role of preschool teacher, we expect that: - you are driven, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a solution-focused approach. - you have experience leading colleagues in the shared work with the child group and collaborate well and create participation for everyone to move the preschool work forward together. - you work based on the preschool teacher's responsibilities as specified in Lpfö 18, rev 25, section 2.7. - you master the Swedish language and can communicate with children, guardians, and other staff, both verbally and in writing. Since the work includes digital documentation, good computer skills are also required. Since we are a small unit with collaboration between departments and close proximity to management, there are great opportunities as a preschool teacher to be involved and able to influence the shared work for the children's benefit at the preschool. Requirements - Certified preschool teacher Meritorious - Experience working in a project-based approach - Experience working based on a language and knowledge-building approach - Training in ICDP (Guiding Interactions) About the position The position is permanent (with a 6-month probationary period) at 100% with a start date of 8/17 or by agreement.
