As an Emergency Management Coordinator, you will be part of the Security Unit, which belongs to the Municipal Administration Office. The unit consists of four people and is led by the municipality's Security Chief. The unit has overall and strategic responsibility for the municipality's security and civil preparedness work. Within the unit, each person has their main focus areas, but to reduce vulnerability and optimize the unit's resource utilization, certain tasks will be distributed outside the main focus areas. This may include tasks within civil defense, systematic fire protection work (SBA), physical security, or threats and violence. The unit's mission is to work strategically, in a guiding and supportive manner, so that the organization and its operations have the best possible conditions to meet the extensive and broad requirements that exist within areas such as civil preparedness, internal security, security protection, and crime prevention. Working in the Security Unit therefore means having many contacts both within the municipality and externally. Qualifications We are looking for someone with emergency preparedness-oriented education at college or university level, or another education that together with your experience is assessed as equivalent and relevant for the position. The role requires that you have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as you will produce written material and coordinate and lead various groups of people. It is an advantage if you have experience from similar assignments as well as good knowledge of society's crisis management, total defense planning, and security protection. We believe that you as a person have a structured and independent working style where you drive and develop your work forward and have the ability to translate broad perspectives into practical action. You both participate in and lead working groups, which requires that you feel comfortable in the role of leading and creating understanding in others.
