Job Duties The Emergency Management Coordinator position is located within the Security Unit, which has organization-wide responsibility. This means that in addition to Arboga Municipality, you will also support the municipality's wholly-owned subsidiaries and municipal associations. The position plays a central role in the municipality's work to create a robust, safe, and secure community. Arboga is a garrison town, which makes the work particularly exciting, and there is strong organizational ambition to develop in this area. The main focus of the position concerns the municipality's work under the Act on Extraordinary Events (LEH) and the Act on Protection Against Accidents (LSO). Examples of work tasks: · Work with the municipality's risk and vulnerability analysis (RSA). · Support continuity planning work in departments and subsidiaries. · Work with the organization's crisis organization and crisis management. · Work with crisis plans and other governing documents within the organization. · Participate in work on the municipality's emergency preparedness and security protection plans. · Plan and conduct training and exercises. · Perform certain administrative tasks within emergency preparedness and security work. · Coordinate accident prevention work in the organization according to LSO. As an Emergency Management Coordinator, you will be part of the Security Unit, which belongs to the Municipal Administration Office. The unit consists of four people and is led by the municipality's Security Chief. The unit has overall and strategic responsibility for the municipality's security and civil preparedness work. Within the unit, each person has their main focus areas, but to reduce vulnerability and optimize the unit's resource utilization, certain tasks will be distributed outside the main focus areas. This may include tasks within civil defense, systematic fire protection work (SBA), physical security, or threats and violence. The unit's mission is to work strategically, in a guiding and supportive manner, so that the organization and its operations have the best possible conditions to meet the extensive and broad requirements that exist within areas such as civil preparedness, internal security, security protection, and crime prevention. Working in the Security Unit therefore means having many contacts both within the municipality and externally. Qualifications We are looking for someone with emergency preparedness-oriented education at college or university level, or another education that together with your experience is assessed as equivalent and relevant for the position. The role requires that you have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as you will produce written material and coordinate and lead various groups of people. It is an advantage if you have experience from similar assignments as well as good knowledge of society's crisis management, total defense planning, and security protection. We believe that you as a person have a structured and independent working style where you drive and develop your work forward and have the ability to translate broad perspectives into practical action. You both participate in and lead working groups, which requires that you feel comfortable in the role of leading and creating understanding in others. You need to have good pedagogical skills, as planning and conducting training/exercises is a recurring task in your role. For this position, great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
