The unit functions as a hub for decision-makers and work is conducted primarily through meeting services, support to and in the municipality's central decision-making functions, as well as ensuring that public records are accessible and searchable and that citizens receive good service when in contact with the municipality. Job Description As an archivist with us, you work both strategically and operationally with the municipality's archives and information management. You provide support to the operations in matters concerning document management, archiving, and public access and confidentiality. The position is placed within the municipal office where you collaborate with managers, administrators, and other functions throughout the municipality. Your role includes, among other things: • taking responsibility for the municipality's archives matters and developing archive activities • providing support and guidance to operations in matters concerning document management and information management • establishing, following up on, and revising document management plans • working with disposition, preservation, and organization of archive materials • developing and quality assuring procedures within information management • taking responsibility and contributing to work on digitalization and e-archives together with the office's document controller • handling matters related to public access, public records, and archive legislation • collaborating with internal and external actors Qualifications We're looking for someone with: • higher education in archives and information science or other education that the employer deems equivalent • knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Archives Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and the General Data Protection Regulation • good digital competence and preferably experience with digital information management • good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish It is meritorious if you have: • experience working as an archivist within public operations or a municipality • experience with e-archives and digital document management • experience with case management systems and document control What We Offer With us, you get meaningful work where you contribute to democracy, legal security, and the municipality's long-term information supply.
