Housekeeper, Full-Time
Åkerblads Gästgiveri, Hotell och Spa is a family-owned hotel business located in beautiful Tällberg, Dalarna. The estate has been in the Åkerblad family's ownership since the 1400s, and today the 19th–22nd generation Åkerblad works together with a strong team of 40 to provide guests with a memorable experience. Experiences are our key word—what we convey to our guests from the moment they check in until they long to return to the glittering waters of Siljan. Our goal is to deliver a unique product, which is reflected not only in our historic premises but also in the hotel's 73 guest rooms, each personally decorated with no two rooms alike. Our restaurant works with locally sourced ingredients and personal flavors, serving both conference and weekend guests. Our latest addition to the company is our Spa department, where we offer 3 therapy rooms, 1 duo treatment room, 1 hydrotherapy bath, and a spa suite with its own bubble pool and sauna. Along with the Spa department, we also have a newly built gym and completely renovated exclusive changing rooms with sauna. The hotel is today classified with four stars and is focused on continuous development where quality and service are our guiding principles. About the Position… As a housekeeper during the summer, you will be part of a team of both permanent and temporary staff. You will clean and prepare primarily hotel rooms and common areas in the dining room, hotel, and SPA. Handling and laundering of towels and linens are also part of the job. Cleaning includes both guests departing from the hotel and customers staying multiple nights. Making beds, polishing surfaces, and cleaning are daily tasks. Since we are primarily visited by couples and are a quiet hotel without events, the cleaning is typically lighter in nature and largely involves caring for the exclusive interior design that is a recurring theme throughout the hotel. You will have regular contact with the hotel's reception and will often meet guests in your work. Work is scheduled for mornings and daytime, with all hotel rooms needing to be ready by 3:00 PM for new guests and their experiences. About You… You are cheerful, happy, and love working with people in the service industry. If you have previously worked as a housekeeper, that is a merit, but not a requirement to apply for the position. We will train you internally if you lack the knowledge we are looking for. A requirement for the position is that you can communicate in Swedish or English. We place great emphasis on personal chemistry, professional pride, and your interest in growing with the industry and our continuous development. Information… This is a full-time position with a start date to be agreed upon; what matters most to us is finding the right team member, so we are flexible with the start date. We begin the interview process as applications arrive. Send your application to us by email: [email protected] Before 6/21.
