This is due to us having relocated a team member within the organization. At Central Student Welfare, we work in a team consisting of different professions that collaborate: special education teachers for preschool and elementary school, school counselors, school nurses, school psychologist, speech-language and hearing specialist, and SLS developer. As a special education teacher, your responsibilities are to work in collaboration with the other professions at Central Student Welfare, principals, and other school staff in a preventive and health-promoting manner to contribute to a good inclusive learning environment for our children and youth. You work on assignments distributed by the principal during the school's student welfare team meetings. Assignments are created in our child and student health journal system, Prorenata. The work includes coaching school staff, supporting the process of investigating special needs with educators, observations, and preventive student care interventions at individual, group, and organizational levels. Special education teachers plan and implement competence development across the municipality in collaboration with principals and the head of Student Welfare. In this role, you have the opportunity to influence and drive the municipality's and school's development. The special education teacher should be a qualified discussion partner/advisor to principals, educators, student assistants, and parents on pedagogical matters. The special education teacher coaches staff individually and in groups. The work also includes collaboration with external partners such as social services, BUP (Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Care), and Habilitering (Rehabilitation Services). There is close and continuous collaboration within the special education teacher group that enables, for example, peer coaching and drawing on each other's expertise in the special education field. This means you receive substantial support in your own profession while, under the principal's leadership, becoming part of a multiprofessional team where everyone's competence is fully utilized. The special education teacher group continuously receives external coaching as support for the processes you are engaged in. QUALIFICATIONS You are educated as a special education teacher or are about to complete your special education teacher education. It is a merit if you have knowledge and experience working with the child and student health journal system Prorenata. Employment Type: Permanent position. Our message within the Children and Education sector in Säter Municipality is: Everyone will succeed – We help each other! This should permeate our activities and the work we do.
