WORK TASKS In your role as a child secretary within foster care, you will primarily work with following up the care of children and young people placed in foster homes. In your daily work, you will ensure that placed children and young people have their needs and rights met. You will meet with the child/young person continuously and conduct child interviews, safety assessments, and make assessments regarding visitation. Work to ensure that children placed away from their parents are involved in their own care and understand why they are placed. Furthermore, you will handle ongoing documentation of the case, make considerations and reviews of care, and participate in investigations that occur during the placement. You have access to close supervision. The group consists of three child secretaries and two foster care secretaries. Within foster care in Klippan, there is structured work to ensure the care of the children and young people who are placed in foster homes. QUALIFICATIONS You have a degree in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent, and experience working with investigations and interventions within social services, preferably with children and youth. Furthermore, you have experience in the exercise of public authority and good knowledge of the laws that govern work with placed children. It is meritorious if you have knowledge of BBIC and have previously worked with children placed outside their own home. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good documentation ability, current knowledge of social legislation, and a class B driver's license.
