We work in teams covering F-3, 4-6, and 7-9, where F-3 collaborates with the after-school program. The school is located in Reftele, a small community in Gislaveds Municipality. We have fine and well-designed facilities and a large schoolyard. Both students and teachers report in surveys a calm climate with good relationships between students and staff. This school year we are working toward prioritized goals focused on increased reading enthusiasm and improved reading ability, motivation, and participation. Ölmestadskolan is a school where we work to strengthen team spirit in the faculty through short communication lines between teachers, student health personnel, and leadership. We also believe that close and transparent contact with guardians is important so that students feel as well as possible and can succeed in school. Duties You will teach Swedish/SVA in our grades 4-9 unit. There may also be an opportunity to teach SVA at the primary level. You will work in a team with good opportunities for collaboration. We have approximately 65 children enrolled in our afterschool program. A full-size gymnasium and two craft rooms are available for afterschool activities in the afternoons. We work in a structured manner according to the curriculum. We regularly follow up on our work and evaluate to maintain or change for improvement. We have planning days and a shared approach to our students. Tuesdays are the school's conference time.
