In your role as social secretary, you will handle cases involving domestic violence, harmful use and addiction, acute housing, LSS, social psychiatry, as well as child and family matters. As a social secretary, you have a central role in social services' first contact with residents, both children and adults. You receive and handle applications, reports, and inquiries, and make initial assessments of the need for support or protection. Your work includes: receiving and assessing incoming applications and concern reports conducting preliminary assessments according to applicable legislation making protection assessments and acute assessments when needed providing information, advice, and guidance to residents and collaboration partners cooperating with other units within social services and external actors contributing to the development of work methods, routines, and structures in the new reception office The work is based on the Social Services Act, the Care of Abusers Act, and the Youth Care Act, as well as social services' mandate to work in a legally secure, accessible manner with the child's best interests in focus.
