Job Duties In your role as a placement follow-up officer, you will primarily work with placed children/youth aged 0-20 and their families. This involves investigation and follow-up work according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act. In your role as a follow-up officer, you will be the central hub around the placed child/youth, maintaining contacts with parents, foster families, schools/preschools, healthcare, police, and other collaboration partners. The target group also includes unaccompanied children for whom social services are responsible. In our team, there is another follow-up officer with whom you will share your assignment, as well as two foster care secretaries. We are a small group with strong team spirit that in recent years has worked hard on workplace issues and establishing a stable and well-functioning foster care system. In your daily work, you will receive support and supervision from the unit manager and colleagues, as well as an external supervisor. You lead the intake and investigation team in daily operations and contribute to high quality and legal security in case handling according to SoL and LVU.
