Job Duties In your role as a placement follow-up officer, you will primarily work with placed children/youth aged 0-20 and their families. This involves investigation and follow-up work according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act. In your role as a follow-up officer, you will be the central hub around the placed child/youth, maintaining contacts with parents, foster families, schools/preschools, healthcare, police, and other collaboration partners. The target group also includes unaccompanied children for whom social services are responsible. In our team, there is another follow-up officer with whom you will share your assignment, as well as two foster care secretaries. We are a small group with strong team spirit that in recent years has worked hard on workplace issues and establishing a stable and well-functioning foster care system. In your daily work, you will receive support and supervision from the unit manager and colleagues, as well as an external supervisor.
