Restaurant Chef

Storlien is a village in Åre municipality, located on the mountain, just at the border with Norway. Storlien Högfjällshotell reopened under new ownership in winter 2023 after being closed for 5 years. In many ways, we are still in a startup phase, which means a role with us suits you if you want to help shape the concept, take on significant responsibility, create routines, and build a pleasant and efficient work culture in the team. And not least, create wonderful memories for our guests. We are looking for a driven leader who can manage our restaurants, which are divided into a smaller restaurant with 30 seats, one with 90, and one with 160. In addition to those in the hotel, we have a slope restaurant that is also operated by hotel staff during winter. Winter is currently our high season, and we hope to achieve a good year-round flow long-term. In spring and autumn, we have conferences and several recurring larger events. Please visit our website. Your responsibilities include recruitment, scheduling, ordering beverages and supplies, budgeting, personnel management, as well as working in service yourself (usually as a head waiter) and acting as a present leader who personally demonstrates what good service means. It is important that you are responsible and ensure that the restaurant constantly complies with alcohol legislation (everything from opening hours, ensuring staff are properly trained, and booking security when required). It is meriting to have worked as a restaurant chef previously, but it is not a requirement.
