As a store manager, you are an operational leader who manages daily operations and has ultimate responsibility for your store and its staff. You motivate and lead your employees so that together you achieve set goals regarding sales and workplace satisfaction. The role also includes: Responsibility for developing work methods and procedures to ensure the store functions efficiently and follows the Sportshopen concept. Responsibility for monitoring key metrics in your store in line with company standards. Sales and profitability responsibility as well as resource planning through scheduling and staffing. Recruiting and onboarding new store staff. Implementing and ensuring that procedures are followed – we work to maintain a safe and secure work environment. Creating conditions for you and your employees to develop. You are always a role model for your employees by working according to our values. What Does It Take to Succeed in This Role? We believe you have experience in a similar role and are accustomed to working with staffing, personnel planning, and follow-up. Of course, you have experience with and are passionate about customer service and sales in retail, preferably in sports and clothing. You have at least a high school education, and if you have further developed yourself in leadership and/or economics, that is a merit. We see that you have knowledge of sports and leisure products and are skilled at sharing your knowledge with both colleagues and customers. And of course, you are passionate about sales and how you can influence your store's results! Who Are You? We're looking for someone who likes change! Our Terms The position is a permanent employment at 100% that begins with a six-month probation period starting in September. The position involves varying working hours and weekend work is common. In Sörred outside Gothenburg, we have our 20,000 m² automated warehouse and office. In Grebbestad on the west coast, we also have our head office and our flagship store, which is Northern Europe's largest sports store at 14,000 m². Our stores are located throughout Sweden, from north to south with a growing e-commerce business that also extends to the European market. Sportshopen is today one of the larger independent operators in Sweden for sales of sports and leisure products. Our assortment consists mainly of clothing and shoes from leading brand suppliers, but we also develop and manufacture our own brands – clothes that can be used for activities in harsh climates, year-round.
