Unit Manager for LSS Care Services
Description We are now seeking a Unit Manager for LSS care services. This is a temporary position for 6 months with the possibility of extension. Job Responsibilities As a Unit Manager within the social services operations area, you have overall responsibility for your assigned area, which means you will work with strategic planning, development, and monitoring of operations. You have colleague managers and work closely with other managers within the management team, sharing collective responsibility for developing and improving the entire social committee's area of responsibility. The Unit Manager position places great emphasis on present leadership. This is to ensure that the unit actively works with quality and development as well as a balanced budget. You are also responsible for ensuring that the unit operates based on the municipality's overarching goals and vision for operations and in accordance with applicable legislation. About Daily Activities Program Daily activities is a service under LSS (Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities) aimed at people of working age who do not have the opportunity to work or study. The program should provide structure, community, and development – and contribute to increased independence and participation in society. The Role of Support Educator or Habilitation Assistant The habilitation assistant's role is to: support individuals in daily activities both socially, practically, and educationally. Adapt and facilitate communication for participants both verbally and through AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication). Provide support in achieving individual goals for participants based on the implementation plan. The support educator has overall responsibility for pedagogical work, documentation, and methodology guidance in the program. You work closely with participants and colleagues, and contribute your expertise to create clear structure, good communication, and an inclusive approach.
