Description We are now seeking a Unit Manager for LSS care services. This is a temporary position for 6 months with the possibility of extension. Job Responsibilities As a Unit Manager within the social services operations area, you have overall responsibility for your assigned area, which means you will work with strategic planning, development, and monitoring of operations. You have colleague managers and work closely with other managers within the management team, sharing collective responsibility for developing and improving the entire social committee's area of responsibility. The Unit Manager position places great emphasis on present leadership. This is to ensure that the unit actively works with quality and development as well as a balanced budget. You are also responsible for ensuring that the unit operates based on the municipality's overarching goals and vision for operations and in accordance with applicable legislation. You have personnel, work environment, and budget responsibility. You are expected to create participation and engagement among staff. We also want you to work toward empowering your employees with the authority needed so that together you can work toward an even better and more efficient workplace. Qualifications We are looking for someone with an appropriate higher education degree relevant to the operations area. You have experience in leadership and management roles. You see work and the organization as a whole while also paying attention to details. Your working approach is goal- and results-oriented. Furthermore, you are interested in working with both strategic development issues and everyday problem-solving. As a person, you are unpretentious, attentive, thorough, and well-organized. You can view issues from different perspectives. Your leadership is characterized by trust and clarity, and with a strong ability to communicate, you create a living dialogue around vision and mission in which everyone is included. You inspire your employees toward creativity and development. It is a merit if you have experience working in a politically governed operation. Great weight is placed on competence and personal suitability.
