Swedish Armed Forces UAS Center Seeking Specialist Officer for Training Division OR 6-7
About the Unit FM UAS Center FM UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) Center is a newly reorganized unit as of June 2025, based in Karlsborg. The Center is tasked with, among other things, environmental monitoring, leading development in the creation of new UAS capabilities, and training in the field. FM UAS Center consists of four different departments: Training, Development, Exercise/Training, and Technical Service. The Training Department is responsible for planning and conducting courses within respective RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System). The Development Department tests and verifies future RPAS for FM needs. Exercise/Training is responsible for and participates in central exercise planning related to RPAS. Technical Service supports respective departments with maintenance and technical support. Primary Duties The Training Department consists of three sections responsible for tactical, combat technical, FPV (First Person View), and smaller RPAS. The sections are responsible for developing training materials and conducting courses for the entire FM. The department also supports the Development Department in testing and verification of new systems. As a Specialist Officer in the Training Department, your task will be partly skills training on the systems that respective sections are responsible for, in order to build and maintain high system understanding. In course activities, you will be part of an instructor team where you will lead/support in theory lectures and practical flight exercises. There are good opportunities to develop and take on more responsibility within the department in various roles/positions such as course director, section chief, participating in projects with the Development Department, and in exercise planning. Special Forces Material Systems Manager Communications to SFL
Special Forces Command (SFL) is part of Armed Forces Headquarters and the Defense Staff. SFL is organized to plan and lead special operations and manage special operations activities. SFL conducts leadership of special operations at military-strategic, operational, and tactical command levels. Working within the Special Forces is demanding, but also offers great opportunities and developmental challenges. The Technology and Maintenance Office (TVK SF) is part of Special Forces Command (SFL). TVK SF is responsible for coordinating material systems within the Swedish Armed Forces' special operations unit (FMSF). The focus is on maintaining existing material systems, as well as work in early phases (needs identification/material procurement) and subsequently providing support to FMV during material production. About the Position You will be the owner's representative for special forces-specific material within the material area. You are responsible for work within the material area covering: Receiving deliveries from FMV and developing distribution plans for material systems. Cooperating with users of material systems within FMSF. Developing decision-making materials for FMSF material systems.
