Systems Technician - Växjö Municipality

About the role As a Systems Technician at Växjö Municipality, you'll be part of the IT and Digitalization Department, specifically the Operations and Systems Technology team, which is responsible for the operation, development, and management of the municipality's technical infrastructure and business systems. You'll primarily work with business systems in a complex, mission-critical environment where high availability, stability, and security are essential. The role involves both daily operations and troubleshooting, as well as improvement work and further development of technical solutions and working methods. You'll have the opportunity to work broadly in systems technology alongside knowledgeable colleagues in an environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday work. Examples of tasks: Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of business systems Management of Windows Server environments Work with SQL and database management Incident handling and problem-solving in complex environments Collaboration with support technicians, developers, architects, and business units Contributing to improvements in technology, processes, and working methods What we're looking for You have a genuine interest in technology and enjoy understanding how things work in depth. You thrive on troubleshooting, analyzing, and solving problems, even when the pace is high and systems are business-critical. You don't need to be a specialist or senior expert in all areas. We'd like to see that you have knowledge in: Windows Server SQL/databases Troubleshooting in IT environments Infrastructure and server environments It's a plus if you also have experience with: IIS Automation and scripting Operations in larger or complex IT environments Microsoft-based infrastructures You must be able to communicate freely in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Great weight will be given to personal suitability.
