JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking an engaged and development-oriented unit manager for Individual and Family Services (IFO) for a temporary position. Would you like to lead a broad and socially important operation focused on children, youth and adults? Then this assignment could be for you! As a unit manager, you are responsible for several operational areas within IFO. The assignment includes, among other things, intake services for children and youth, investigation activities and interventions with responsibility for implementation and follow-up. The responsibility also includes foster care operations, financial assistance, and work with domestic violence, harmful substance use and addiction as well as housing issues. You report directly to the Operations Manager and are part of a management group together with five unit managers within authority functions, employment and addiction and social psychiatry. You have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment and finances and lead the work in close collaboration with other managers and functions within the municipality. In your role, you contribute to developing work methods and structures. As a unit manager, you create conditions for engagement, participation and a good work climate. You work with systematic quality improvement and contribute to a culture where employees' expertise is utilized. You are clear in your communication and build trust in collaboration with both employees and colleagues. Work in a politically governed organization requires flexibility and a holistic perspective. You are unpretentious, collaboration-oriented and see the value of working together for the residents' benefit. Start date: September 2026, or by agreement. Scope: Full-time Employment type: Fixed-term employment, a temporary position expected to last approximately one year. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • a degree in social work • experience of authority functions within Individual and Family Services is advantageous • experience working with children, youth and adults is advantageous • previous leadership experience is advantageous You have strong leadership qualities and the ability to translate goals and visions into practical action. WORK TASKS We are now strengthening our organization with an additional unit manager. We are looking for someone who wants to lead and develop our government authority operations within elderly care, LSS, and social psychiatry, with a focus on legal security, quality, and good service. The assignment includes reception for elderly and adults, case management within elderly care, case handling according to LSS, and within social psychiatry.
