Addiction Center Värmland is operated jointly with Region Värmland for adult clients with harmful substance use/addiction in need of abstinence care. Kvarnbacken is an integrated residential care home for adults that we operate jointly with Region Värmland. Riddarnäset is an integrated facility where we provide HVB services for young people aged 13-20 together with Region Värmland. Flöjten is our acute care and assessment home for children aged 0-12. The federation also organizes courses and conferences within the field of harmful substance use/addiction and, together with Region Värmland and municipalities in the county, has a mission to jointly develop work addressing harmful substance use/addiction in Värmland. Addiction Center is a residential care facility with integrated health and medical care, located at the Psychiatric House at Central Hospital in Karlstad. The facility is operated in close collaboration between Region Värmland and Värmland County Healthcare Association. We provide abstinence treatment and psychosocial interventions for adults with addiction problems, often combined with mental health issues or other comorbidities. With 12 care beds and care periods of up to three weeks, we work together across multiple professional categories to provide each client with a safe, respectful, and meaningful care period that becomes an important part of their continuing recovery journey. Responsibilities As a treatment consultant, you have a central and important role in the client's care process. You become the hub in collaboration between client, social services, care staff, and other partners. The role is also part of the facility's coordinating management structure in matters concerning planning, collaboration, and development. You are often the first point of contact for the referring agency and are responsible for creating structure, coordination, and continuity throughout the care period.
