WORK TASKS We are now strengthening our organization with an additional unit manager. We are looking for someone who wants to lead and develop our government authority operations within elderly care, LSS, and social psychiatry, with a focus on legal security, quality, and good service. As a unit manager, you are responsible for a broad range of operations. The assignment includes reception for elderly and adults, case management within elderly care, case handling according to LSS, and within social psychiatry. You report directly to the Operations Manager and are part of a management group together with four unit managers within government authority, employment market, and dependency and social psychiatry. You have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and finances. You lead the work in close collaboration with other managers and functions within the municipality. In your role, you contribute to developing working methods and structure. The assignment includes, among other things: • lead, plan, and follow up operations based on established goals • ensure legally sound case handling in accordance with current legislation • create conditions for employee development and good work environment efforts • manage budget and financial follow-up • drive development of working methods and processes • collaborate with other operations and external actors As a unit manager, you create conditions for engagement, participation, and a good working climate. You work with systematic quality assurance and contribute to a culture where employee competence is utilized. You are clear in your communication and build trust through collaboration with both employees and colleagues. Work in a politically controlled organization requires flexibility and a holistic perspective. You are unpretentious, collaboration-oriented, and see the value of working together for the residents' benefit. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a university/college degree as a social worker or other equivalent academic education. You have experience in government authority work, preferably with a focus on elderly care. We are looking for someone with strong leadership qualities who can translate goals and visions into practical action. You are strategic and driven with a goal- and results-oriented approach. Important for us is that you are independent and have a development focus. You have an interest in and ability to lead through change and leverage employees' knowledge in an open climate. The assignment requires you to have a good ability to see the whole picture, prioritize, and delegate. We expect a colleague who can build good relationships and who readily collaborates both internally and externally. You have a good ability to make decisions and loyally implement them in operations. Your leadership is trust-based and characterized by clarity. Start date by agreement. In accordance with the law on background checks for employment in leading positions in municipalities, an extract from the criminal record may be requested prior to employment. The position is filled subject to the decision to appropriate necessary funds. Selection work begins after the application deadline. After that, selected candidates will be called for interviews during weeks 29-30. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Indefinite.
