Jula is in a phase where digital development and increased complexity in the external environment make IT and information security a central enabler. Therefore, we are now seeking a Cyber Security Specialist who wants to take on a key role in developing and driving cybersecurity, incident management, and vulnerability work in a structured and business-aligned manner. Organisation and Working Approach Within IT & Digital, Jula has chosen to consolidate resources in security, risk, and compliance into a shared function to strengthen capability at both strategic and tactical levels, as well as clarify responsibility and governance in IT and information security. This has resulted in the establishment of IT Security, Risk & Compliance, a new department placed under the CDIO and led by the CISO. The department has overall responsibility for Jula's IT and information security, risk management, and compliance, and serves as a cohesive function for the entire organization. The working approach is primarily organized as a strategic and tactical procurement function. This means the department sets direction, prioritizes, sets requirements, and follows up on security work, while large parts of operational implementation take place within respective specialist areas in the IT organization. At the same time, IT Security, Risk & Compliance operationally engages in matters that are highly prioritized, particularly sensitive, or where specialized expertise is required. The role of Cyber Security Specialist thus combines clear operational responsibility with elements of tactical and strategic work. Background IT security threats are continuously increasing, and Jula has decided to raise its maturity level in IT and information security. As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be a key person in ensuring that Jula's security capability is structured, effective, and adapted to business needs, with a focus on real risk reduction through a pragmatic approach. About the Role In your role as Cyber Security Specialist, you work operationally and tactically to develop, drive, and coordinate cybersecurity work, with particular focus on incident management and vulnerabilities, and contribute to setting goals and direction in the field. You will be part of IT Security, Risk & Compliance and report to the CISO. Your Assignment In this role, you are responsible for owning, developing, and driving the IT security incident process, as well as analyzing needs and contributing to the development of goals, structure, and working methods in the area. You will coordinate and manage incidents of high priority or sensitivity, ensure effective monitoring and collaboration with SOC providers, and identify, analyze, and prioritize threats and vulnerabilities. You are further responsible for establishing structure, working methods, and prioritization models for vulnerability management, ensuring that measures are implemented across the organization through clear requirements, contributing to the development of policies, guidelines, and security governance, and supporting the organization with expert cybersecurity competency. You will also contribute to strengthening the organization's understanding of cybersecurity and ensure that policies and guidelines are relevant, anchored, and complied with. Your assignment includes working closely with the business and ensuring that security is integrated into development and operations in a way that supports the business without creating unnecessary obstacles. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is confident in their competence and thrives in a role where you can combine operational work with developing structure and working methods. You thrive and act freely in an environment with a high pace and entrepreneurial spirit, and you have the ability to translate security requirements into something the business understands and can act upon. You are communicative, responsible, and have the integrity to stand firm on priorities even when it challenges the business. Education and Experience You have higher education or equivalent, as well as experience in IT and/or information security, including work with IT security incidents, vulnerability management, and threat analysis, as well as operational security work. You also have good understanding of risk management and security processes and are used to collaborating with different parts of an organization. It is advantageous if you also have experience with SOC, vendor management, or work in larger organizations. Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, we see that you are pedagogical and communicative, with an ability to explain complex issues in a clear and understandable way. You are pragmatic and solution-oriented, with a focus on finding workable ways forward. Furthermore, you are business-minded in your approach and feel confident in prioritizing and setting requirements when needed. You are also flexible and thrive in an organization undergoing development, where change is a natural part of everyday life. In Jula's culture, a down-to-earth, engaged, and action-oriented working approach is highly valued.
