DUTIES As an occupational therapist, you work with the whole person and their physical and cognitive abilities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will work in one of the two teams at the after-school program, but of course the departments work together in planning and activities. It is important that you enjoy development and see opportunities that develop the activities with the student's best interest in focus. You need to see solutions, work relationally, and sometimes think outside the box. The after-school program is divided into two sections, younger and older. You will: Plan and implement, follow up, and evaluate activities in the after-school program Support in class and sometimes with individual students/small groups of students Plan and conduct teaching in class in the subject for which you hold certification Mentor LNU students, as Torslunda School is a Practice School Be active in development work throughout the entire program QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications We are looking for you who: - Are a licensed after-school teacher - Preferably hold certification in an aesthetic subject such as art/music, but this is not required - Have a strong ability to build relationships and establish trust - Work in a structured and solution-focused manner - Thrive in a collaborative team and want to contribute to the development of the after-school program and school We place great emphasis on personal suitability. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The role of after-school care teacher is a central pedagogical function that complements school through a unique approach to learning. The activities are characterized by situation-driven, experience-based, and group-oriented learning where care, development, and learning are integrated into a meaningful whole for students. The after-school care teacher provides students with meaningful leisure time, recreation, and rest, while stimulating their continued development and learning. • Plan and lead instruction: Plans, leads, and evaluates varied and meaningful instruction that covers the core content areas: language and communication, creative and aesthetic expression, nature and society, as well as play, physical activities, and outdoor time. • Promote social development: Actively works to promote good peer relationships, develop students' ability to handle conflicts constructively, and act in accordance with democratic values and processes. • Create safety and care: Ensures a safe, stimulating, and accessible environment that offers a thoughtful balance between organized activities, free play, and necessary rest for students' health and well-being. • Collaborate: Conducts trusting cooperation with guardians and colleagues in preschool class and school to create context, continuity, and progression in each student's development and learning. • Support students: Observes and supports students who need extra adjustments or special support to participate in activities and develop as far as possible according to the education's goals.
