Minister to Kullavik Church

Are you a versatile, engaged, and open-minded priest? If so, you, like your predecessors, will love the role of parish priest in Kullavik. You are securely grounded in your ordained ministry and find joy in good preaching and vibrant worship life. You have an open and inclusive view of people because there are many wonderful people to care for here. Together with the parish, you are passionate about developing parish life and creating opportunities for both new and longtime parishioners to grow in their roles or find new ones. You are versatile and comfortable working with different ages, groups, and orientations with the same approach—collaboratively building upon an already open and vibrant parish. Music brings us together and is always present. You enjoy working in different teams, but also independently. In liturgical services, you meet many who are more or less familiar with church traditions, with warmth and seriousness. The church is always full of people; it's located in Kullavik's center, close to everything. We enjoy collaborating with local organizations on various events where you as a priest are often the face of the church. In the work team, led by our deacon, you are one of about ten colleagues. In the pastorate's three parishes, there are a total of four deacons and six priests, including the chief pastor. We have solid administration and strong finances with a high proportion of members in the parish. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A Class B driver's license is required. About Särö Pastorate and Kullavik Parish Our shared vision in the pastorate is "that everyone will find their way to Jesus and have the opportunity to share that discovery with others." Our three parishes—Vallda, Släp, and Kullavik—each have their own parish church and work team with similar yet distinct character and function. We coordinate and co-plan some aspects while maintaining others according to local tradition. Kullavik Church, with all facilities under one roof, is a natural gathering place in Kullavik for all ages. The spaces are warm and welcoming with a casual-friendly Café in the center, always near the church sanctuary as a clear signal of our focus. We have a well-functioning collaboration with schools and youth services and strive to make our work feel relevant to our time. We have many confirmands, children, and parents here. Older members also have an important place. Music, joy, and community are cornerstones of our work, and in Sunday worship, we aim to provide space for participation through a rich variety of expressions and experiences. The parish is a beautiful natural area between forest and sea where residential neighborhoods lie near the church, nestled among cliffs and pastoral landscape. Here at the boundary with Gothenburg municipality, many live and thrive, and gladly return after studies and at life stages involving family formation.
