Special Education Teacher, Primary School

Welcome to our inspiring community at Gnesta Waldorf School! About the School The school is beautifully located on Gnestahöjden, a ten-minute walk from Gnesta train station, 40 minutes from Stockholm Central Station. The school is run by a non-profit association founded in 1993. Gnesta is a growing municipality and we are a modern Waldorf school that is constantly growing and developing with approximately 190 students distributed from preschool class through grade 9 and after-school care. Gnesta Waldorf School is characterized by a holistic approach to students aimed at developing the whole person – mind, feeling, and will. Some things that distinguish our pedagogy are that we work with interdisciplinary theme periods and aim to integrate creative activities such as visual art, crafts, and music into all of the school's subjects. The Position This is a permanent position at 60% that begins with a 6-month probationary period. An additional 20% may be possible during 26/27. Start date is 10/8-26. Job Description As a special education teacher at Gnesta Waldorf School, you work preventively, promotively, and interventively to help our students meet learning objectives. You will work together with our teachers and in our EHT (which consists of a special education specialist, counselor, school nurse, and principal) to give our students what they need to develop as far as possible. Your Qualifications You have a degree as a special education teacher. You have strong commitment and interest in creating the best conditions for students. You are analytical, structured, and goal-oriented. You are communicative and inspiring. You are flexible in your work approach and collaborate easily. You have basic IT skills. You have experience with Waldorf pedagogy or an interest in learning about it. Required Qualifications State teaching certification or Waldorf teacher certification.
