Job Responsibilities As a specialist in internal medicine, you will participate in the clinic's work in both inpatient and outpatient care. General Medicine Specialist, Rättvik Clinic

About the Operation Rättvik Healthcare Center welcomes you as a general medicine specialist. Rättvik Healthcare Center is recruiting a general medicine specialist with interest in supervising AT, BT, and ST physicians. Rättvik is located on the shores of Siljan, with a wide range of activities for a good and varied leisure time. The municipality consists of a town center and many villages, so there are living arrangements for everyone. We have the entire primary care assignment in-house. This provides a varied work environment; we divide tasks among ourselves: elderly care and special housing, child/youth care with youth clinic, child health services, and maternal health services. The healthcare center is short approximately two general medicine specialists in order to provide reasonable patient lists, ensuring high continuity for our patients and for you as a physician. Therefore, we are now seeking two general medicine specialists and are particularly interested in candidates with interest in supervising future colleagues. Responsibilities The healthcare center operates with a rural medicine approach, as the distance to the nearest hospital is somewhat longer. This provides a varied workday, including on-call duties where basic X-ray equipment, ear and eye microscopes are available on-site, which saves patients long trips and contributes to Close Care. We perform basic examinations of all organ systems, including gynecological examinations and proctoscopy/rectoscopy. During the year, we are changing our work methods and will work more clearly toward continuity from first contact and create teamwork. About the Operations There is now an opportunity to combine work within inpatient care and outpatient clinic operations. The position is divided with 50% on units 17/18 and 50% at the orthopedic clinic, with a rotation schedule of four weeks per operation. During the period on the unit, weekend shifts are included (two weekends per four-week period). This rotation schedule provides good variation in work and the opportunity to leverage the strengths of both operations. Our orthopedic inpatient care is divided into two units: unit 17, which receives acute orthopedic patients, and unit 18, which focuses on elective orthopedics with pre- and postoperative care. You will meet patients with fractures, osteoarthritis, and other diagnoses within the musculoskeletal system. The pace varies, which contributes to a dynamic and stimulating work environment. Here, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and doctors work closely together to provide safe and quality care. The clinic receives patients for follow-up visits from the emergency clinic or is referred from primary care or other operations. A large portion of our patients come for wound or cast treatments, evaluation by a specialist physician, and surgical planning. At the orthopedic clinic, we work daytime, Monday through Friday, closed on public holidays. The position is a temporary contract.
