Body Shop Technician/Damage Repair Specialist for Bus Service Company
About the Position
We are looking to strengthen our operations and are now hiring a dedicated bus damage repair technician/body shop specialist for our workshop in Docksta. This role emphasizes taking responsibility for preparing and ensuring quality results before painting.
We Are Looking For
You have relevant education at upper secondary level and experience with repairs.
You have a good understanding of damage repair from preparation to finished result.
You like order and organization and work in a structured manner with an eye for detail.
You collaborate well in a team.
You are familiar with digital support systems.
Responsibilities
As a body shop technician/damage repair specialist, you will work with collision-damaged or rust-damaged buses and other vehicles:
Work on various sheet metal damages and vehicle body repairs.
Preparation work before painting such as measuring, straightening, welding, restoring, and replacing parts.
Prep work including masking, filling, sanding, and priming to ensure the best possible results.
Reassembly of components.
Minor disassembly as needed.
Work on smaller damage jobs.
Polishing as needed.
Quality inspection/assurance before delivery. This involves checking quality and workmanship, and documenting the work process in our digital systems.
Work in close dialogue with other teams such as the workshop and traffic planning for smooth workflow.
Work in accordance with applicable policies and procedures regarding work environment, environmental, and safety standards.
Requirements
Communicate well in Swedish both verbally and in writing.
Category B driver's license.
Merits
Experience as a body shop technician.
Experience from insurance claims/damage assessment centers.
Knowledge of CABAS (estimation system).
