Primary care in Region Jämtland Härjedalen is part of the Division Close Care, where primary care, ambulance services, psychiatry, and public dentistry collaborate. This provides excellent conditions for coordinated care, short decision-making pathways, and professional dialogue between operations. Since 2022, primary care and ambulance services are integrated – an important step in the work for good and close care, where the patient's needs guide the organization of care. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a district physician with us, you work broadly within primary care assessing, investigating, treating, and advising patients with varying symptoms and medical questions. The assignment includes both acute and planned patient contacts and is characterized by a holistic perspective on the patient's needs. The work also includes health promotion and prevention measures, individually and in groups, as well as close collaboration with other professions at the health center. Assignments within child health services (BVC) and medical responsibility for special housing will be included. You work evidence-based and use varied working methods, including individual patient meetings, group activities, and digital contacts via the internet, with the goal of offering accessible, good, and close care. Working conditions are designed to be sustainable over time. On-call and standby duties are included approximately once per month and are held at Strömsunds Health Center. There is an opportunity for remote work for administrative tasks and scheduling flexibility that can be adapted to operational needs and your life situation. For those with extensive experience and an interest in contributing beyond clinical work, there are good opportunities to take greater responsibility. This could involve supervision of ST physicians and medical management responsibility. In parallel, long-term development work regarding rural healthcare in Strömsunds municipality is underway, now being formalized and planned to extend over several years. QUALIFICATIONS Swedish medical license and specialist qualification in general medicine. Since we work in a rural area, a driver's license is advantageous. Primary care is a healthcare unit within the Region's Health and Medical Care Administration where university education for medical degrees and research are conducted. This means that all applicants are subject to expert review by the R&D responsible person prior to possible employment. For this reason, the application must contain the following documents: - A structured CV - Certificate of medical degree from the institution(s) where the physician has completed their basic training. This also applies to physicians trained in other EU countries and outside the EU. - Medical license certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. - Specialist competence certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. -- Documented mentor training - If applicable, certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or Associate Professor, including date of defense and dissertation title. - If applicable, complete and updated publication list. - Certificate/documentation of teaching experience and any other pedagogical merits. - Possibly additional documented qualifications regarding, for example, clinical knowledge/experience, clinical development work, management experience, and other aspects that the applicant wishes to highlight as meriting the position sought.
