Åkerblads Gästgiveri, Hotell & Spa is a family-owned hotel business located in beautiful Tällberg, Dalarna. The estate has been in the Åkerblad family's ownership since the 1400s, and today the 19th–22nd generation of the Åkerblad family works together with a strong team of 40 to provide guests with a memorable experience. Experiences are our keyword—it's what we deliver to our guests from the moment they check in until they long to return to the glittering waters of Siljan. Our goal is to deliver a unique product, which is reflected not only in our historic premises but also in the hotel's 73 guest rooms, all personally decorated with no two rooms alike. Our restaurant works with locally produced ingredients and personal flavors, for both conference guests and weekend visitors. The hotel is currently classified with four stars and is committed to continuous development where quality and service are our guiding principles. Lunch Cook, 1 Full-Time Position, Permanent Your responsibilities... As a cook, you will be part of a strong team. You master both cold kitchen work and all aspects of hot kitchen operations. Since the name Åkerblads stands for quality, we prepare everything from bread and stock to mayonnaise and ice cream—from raw ingredients to finished product. Cooking from scratch is, for us as well as for you, a given. We are looking for someone who primarily works daytime hours with our incredibly popular lunches. Working hours are scheduled during daytime on both weekdays and weekends. Beyond your professional skills, professional pride, orderliness, and good hygiene practices are equally important. Competency Profile... You have at least a couple of years of experience in a similar position, plus culinary training. Alternatively, extensive work experience that matches the above. Your most important qualities are strong teamwork abilities and being a vital part of a cohesive team. You must also be able to work quickly and prioritize while maintaining quality standards that meet Åkerblads' requirements. We place great emphasis on personal chemistry, professional pride, and your interest in staying current with industry and our continuous development. Good knowledge and experience with Swedish traditional cuisine is a requirement. Information... This is a permanent full-time position with entry as soon as possible.
