JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Job Responsibilities As a family counselor in Östhammar Municipality, you have the opportunity to work within several areas where you can be involved and influence the work. Family counselors within the municipality conduct child sessions, counseling support with guardians, and also meet victims and perpetrators of violence. Within Open Care, family counseling is also provided. The work is conducted in close collaboration with internal and external partners. We work preventively, strengthening, and therapeutically. QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has a degree in behavioral science, social work, or another higher education that we find equivalent. You should have experience in parental support work and individual change work. You are thus well familiar with the documentation requirements and legislation that govern the operation. And the ability to conduct social documentation in a legally secure manner is a requirement. If you have previously worked as a family counselor and/or in substance abuse treatment, that is a merit, as is if you have basic step 1 training or other further education at university level in social treatment work.
