Forsmarks Kraftgrupp is now seeking a process engineer in the field of reactor safety with a focus on mechanics/structural integrity/strength. The Safety Department works to provide oversight, support, and requirement interpretation related to radiation safety. The department supports the company's CEO on safety matters. The objective is to contribute to Forsmark complying with radiation safety requirements and for us to be drivers in developing safety at the company in both technical and operational aspects. You will work within the Radiation Safety unit, our mission is to, together with other units in the Safety Department, be a driving force for the development and maintenance of reactor safety, radiation protection, and physical security at Forsmark. This is primarily carried out through independent radiation safety reviews and safety assessments of operational decisions. About the Role As a Process Engineer in Radiation Safety, you will work with responsible tasks to secure and develop Forsmark's facility safety. You will work with independent radiation safety reviews of safety-related documentation and facility modifications and component replacements, as well as safety analytical investigations related to mechanical integrity or operational readiness. The work also includes interpretation of regulatory requirements and being a point of contact for regulatory matters as well as analysis and assessment of Forsmark's safety work. The role also includes serving in an advisory capacity to other parts of the organization in handling safety-related matters. You will have ongoing contact with regulatory authorities and build a broad network, both within the Vattenfall Group and externally. The work will give you a good comprehensive understanding of the operation and the safety structure of the facilities. Requirement Specification We are looking for someone who is a polytechnic engineer, civil engineer, or has equivalent competence, either through other education or relevant work experience. You have solid knowledge of nuclear power plants' design, operation, and maintenance. You also have experience in mechanical maintenance. Experience working with nuclear power-related issues is a major advantage. The work requires collaboration, quality, and adherence to procedures. To succeed in the role, you need to have good communication skills and master both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
