Preschool Slåttet is Mora's oldest parent-run cooperative, located in Noret, near Mora Hospital, shopping centers, and the forest. The preschool operates in a villa with a large garden that serves as our preschool yard. Just outside the gate there is also a playground. Our group consists of 22 children in a safe and homey environment with high staff-to-child ratios and close collaboration between educators and parents. The preschool has a Christian profile that aligns with the preschool curriculum and values. We celebrate the major holidays of Christmas and Easter. We believe it is important for children to spend a lot of time outdoors, which usually happens several times every day. By moving a lot and eating healthy food made from scratch, we give children the opportunity for a healthy start in life! The preschool has a cook who plans and orders food that parents pick up from the store. When inspiration strikes, the cook prepares food at our grill area! Once a week during the winter months we have gymnastics. During the summer we go to the forest and conduct activities there! We value safety, community, and respect for each individual.
