Summer Substitute Assistant for 17-Year-Old Girl

We are looking for an assistant for our client, a 17-year-old cheerful and spirited girl with Cerebral Palsy. We are looking for you to work during the summer on a schedule from weeks 25-31. You are welcome to be available during other weeks to cover sick leave or similar. This is a hourly position. It is important that you have a driver's license and a car, as this is needed to get to where the client lives and the client has an adapted car (automatic) that you drive her in to medical appointments and recreational activities. In her free time, she enjoys going out for coffee, swimming, and going on various outings. She has extensive mobility difficulties and therefore has a need for several assistive devices such as ceiling lifts, standing aids, specially adapted chairs, and various communication aids. As an assistant, you will receive thorough on-the-job training to learn how to use these. As an assistant, you should be her support in the activities she enjoys doing, both in and outside the home. You will also accompany her on outings and visits to, for example, rehabilitation centers, orthopedic technical services, and assistive device centers. It is important that you, as an applicant, are a positive, calm, and reliable person who is solution-focused and driven. On weekends and days off, work shifts are between, for example, 08:00-11:00, 08:00-19:00, 08:00-14:00, or 13:00-20:00. There may also be night shifts with on-call duty sleeping. It is important that you can work all types of shifts. Most of the time there is dual assistance, but there are times when you as an assistant work alone. You will receive on-the-job training before you start working independently.
