You contribute to ensuring that students and swimming guests have a safe, educational, and positive experience in the swimming hall. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for planning and conducting swimming instruction for students in grades 1–6. You motivate and help students develop their swimming skills and feel secure in the water. You document students' swimming abilities and maintain a dialogue with the responsible physical education teachers about students' development. The position also includes other tasks at the swimming hall, such as cleaning, facility maintenance, and staffing the reception and café during evenings and weekends. You provide service to swimming guests and help create a welcoming and pleasant environment. In addition to swimming instruction and other tasks, there is an opportunity to lead water aerobics and contribute to developing the facility's offerings. This is a permanent position at 75% with scheduled working hours that include evening and weekend work. YOUR COMPETENCE We are looking for you who are a skilled swimmer, attentive, and enjoy working with people. It is a merit if you have swimming instructor training or equivalent knowledge, but it is not a requirement. If you are the right person, you will have the opportunity to be trained in swimming instruction and CPR. We are looking for you who have a service-oriented approach and a genuine interest in giving our guests and students a positive experience. The work requires you to be calm and stable, with the ability to remain composed and act according to applicable procedures when various situations arise in the swimming hall. You work responsibly and independently, while also collaborating well with colleagues and contributing to a positive atmosphere. As a swimming instructor, you have pedagogical skills and can adapt your communication to your audience. You inspire, create a sense of security, and motivate both students and visitors. YOUR NEW WORKPLACE The swimming hall is part of the Recreation Department, which encompasses the municipality's recreation facilities, youth activities, and other matters relating to recreation and community life. The position is located at Vindeln's swimming hall, which is situated next to Renfors School. The swimming hall is small but offers a wide range of activities for both children and adults and has recently been renovated. The pool is 25 meters long with four lanes, and it is used for swimming instruction and water aerobics, among other things. We also have a small cafeteria. REQUIREMENTS Swimming proficiency is a requirement for the position, and during the recruitment process you will be required to complete a work test consisting of swimming 200m, of which 50 meters on your back, and performing a practical water rescue lifeguard exercise. For this position, you must provide a valid criminal records check from the Police before employment.
