Are you a social worker who wants to work with children, youth, and their families? We are looking for a social worker for our reception group – an engaged colleague who wants to help further develop our work to ensure that children and youth live in safe life situations. In preparation for the transition to the new social services act, we strengthened our reception group during 2024 to better meet future needs. The reception is part of the unit for children and youth with just over 35 employees. Here we work with both traditional reception tasks and the development of a more accessible, preventive, and knowledge-based social service. We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to drive this work forward together with us. Tierps Municipality is favorably located between Uppsala and Gävle, with proximity also to Stockholm, Arlanda, and the entire Mälardalen region. Here you will find varied living environments, nature and culture within reach, as well as good communications by road, rail, and digitally. Our values are important to us. We work based on respect, responsibility, customer focus, courage, and faith in the future. We apply trust-based management and governance to create strong relationships and trust between managers and employees. With us you are offered, among other things: - Accessible and present leadership - Regular supervision by a licensed psychotherapist - Wellness allowance - Vacation exchange - Ongoing competence development - Possibility of remote work when needed - Flexible working hours agreement - Health-promoting activities through our "Positive Club" We also offer a structured introduction plan with at least one introducer from the work group. Tierps Municipality works with the Professional Journey in collaboration with other municipalities in the region – a long-term development program for social work. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a social worker in the reception group, you will have a varied, developing, and meaningful job. You are often the first contact for children, youth, and their networks and play an important role in providing advice, support, and guidance as well as assessing children's needs for protection and support. Your main tasks are to handle notifications and applications according to the social services act, conduct protection and preliminary assessments, and staff the unit's duty phone according to a rotating schedule. You handle both acute situations that require quick assessments and more planned cases with a focus on early support and preventive work. The position also includes conducting fast-track investigations, where the assessment is that the case can be closed within 60 days and only a few areas need investigation. The approach has been developed to more quickly be able to offer support and meet families' needs. The reception also offers advice and support conversations without needs assessment through TUTI (Early Detection – Early Intervention). The conversations are part of the social service's preventive and crime prevention work and are aimed at children and youth where there is concern about, for example, alcohol or drug use, norm-breaking behavior, or criminality. An important part of the mission is cooperation with preschools, schools, police, the House for Children, health and medical services, and other collaboration partners. You will also work closely with the municipality's school social team and SSPF collaboration to early identify and support children and youth at risk. The reception also has close cooperation with open care and other groups within the unit for children and youth. We also conduct active outreach work through information meetings, workshops, and presence in arenas where children and youth spend time. With us, you will have the opportunity to combine exercise of authority with preventive work and early interventions – and be part of shaping the future social service. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker and who wants to contribute to good meetings with children, youth, and their families. You have a genuine interest in social work and are driven by creating security, participation, and positive changes in people's lives. It is meritorious if you have experience with exercise of authority within children and youth, as well as experience of cooperation with other actors and preventive work. Experience with early interventions, advice and support conversations, or crime prevention work with children and youth is also meritorious. To thrive with us, you need to appreciate varied work where days are rarely the same. You have the ability to make professional assessments in acute situations while seeing the value of early interventions, preventive work, and building trusting relationships. You can organize, prioritize, and limit your work tasks and feel confident making decisions even when conditions change rapidly. We are looking for someone who is engaged, initiative-taking, and solution-focused. You find it easy to cooperate, communicate clearly and respectfully, and contribute to good treatment in encounters with both children, families, and collaboration partners. Since the assignment involves close cooperation with, among others, schools, police, health and medical services, and other actors, it is important that you have good communicative skills and find it easy to create and maintain good relationships. As a person, you are confident, stable, and flexible. You thrive in a workplace where the pace is sometimes high and where you need to be able to switch between different work tasks during the day. You contribute to a good work environment, are unpretentious, and see the value of developing together with your colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A B driver's license is a requirement. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Indefinite. Working hours: Daytime. We recruit continuously during the application period! We strive for diversity where our employees' backgrounds, experiences, knowledge, and personalities enrich the municipality. We decline offers of advertising and recruitment assistance.

Are you a social worker interested in working with children, young people, and their families? We are seeking a new colleague for our follow-up team who wants to continue developing this work and ensure that children and young people live in safe and secure situations. Tierp Municipality is conveniently located between Uppsala and Gävle with proximity to Stockholm, Arlanda, and the entire Mälardalen region. The municipality offers diverse and high-quality housing environments with nature and culture at hand, as well as excellent communication by road, rail, and digital infrastructure. Our values are important to us. We work based on respect, responsibility, customer focus, courage, and confidence in the future. We apply trust-based management and governance for strong relationships and trust between managers and employees. With us, you will receive accessible leadership, regular supervision by a licensed psychotherapist, wellness allowance, vacation exchange, and ongoing training. Our employees have the opportunity to work from home when needed. Tierp Municipality offers flexible working hours, and you will have access to continuous activities through the Positive Club. When you join us, we also offer an onboarding plan with at least one mentor from the work team. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a social worker in the follow-up team, you work in various ways to ensure that all children in the municipality are doing well and growing up in safe conditions. You do this by ensuring that social services interventions are of high quality. This is done through regular follow-ups of interventions together with children, guardians, and service providers. In your role as a follow-up worker, relationship-building is important and you follow up on both open care services and placements in, for example, foster homes and institutional care (HVB), working with the 0-21 age group and their families. Follow-up is an ongoing process that both the social board and the care provider must document continuously. It provides a basis for considerations and reviews of care. The purpose of care follow-up is to ensure the child is doing well and receiving the right help. The goals formulated in the child's care plan and implementation plan are important starting points when social services follow up on care. During follow-up, new needs can be identified and any problematic conditions in the child's home can be noticed. The work consists of follow-up as well as planning, coordination, case management, documentation, decision-making, and other administrative functions, and to some extent investigation. Our work climate is permissive with a high ceiling, and the atmosphere is informal and relaxed with a lot of laughter. We believe that engagement is born through encouragement and trust. Therefore, we strive for a creative work environment with stimulated employees who contribute to both dynamics and development. For us, collegial belonging and collegial support are important, where you work toward a respectful and pleasant work environment. We want to move forward and personal initiatives are encouraged. It is also important that our employees can maintain a good balance between their personal and professional lives. We have flexible working hours and the opportunity to work remotely when the work allows. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a social worker and wants to contribute to good interactions with children and young people as well as their families. Experience in administrative work, good knowledge of BBIC and Signs of Safety, in-depth knowledge of the Social Services Act, and strong documentation skills are merits. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. To thrive with us and in this work, you are curious, have a natural ability to build relationships, and an interest in people. You are structured and enjoy collaboration, but also have the ability to work independently. You have knowledge of children's needs and are passionate about contributing to good and quality work. Traveling and home visits are part of the job, so you need to have a Class B driver's license for manual cars. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent. Work hours: Daytime. We strive for diversity where our employees' backgrounds, experiences, knowledge, and personalities enrich the municipality. We recruit continuously during the application period! We decline offers of advertising and recruitment assistance.
