Sanitation Worker for Tidaholm Municipality

About the Position Within the Community Development Administration, approximately 20 people currently work in the Water/Waste department. Our common mission is to ensure that now and in the future we have a safe and sustainable water supply and safe handling of municipal waste. Together with others, we shape and build Tidaholm into a city that has the opportunity to change and grow while providing conditions for a good daily life for residents. Your work tasks include: Driving a garbage truck in both urban and rural areas Work at the Recycling Center (ÅVC), where you meet and help our visitors sort correctly Service work with our service vehicle – cleaning recycling stations and replacing and repairing waste containers Machine work at the transfer station, where you load material and arrange containers You use vehicle computers and other digital systems for work orders, reporting, and communication. Working hours may include day, evening, and weekend shifts, as the ÅVC is open. Qualifications Requirements: YKB (Professional Competence Certificate) Class C driver's license Basic ability to use digital systems in daily work Speak and understand Swedish Have good physical fitness, as the work is sometimes physically demanding We see that you: Have an interest in vehicles and machinery Are solution-oriented and not afraid to "dig in" Are able to work independently and make your own decisions when needed Have a pleasant and helpful approach toward both colleagues and residents Merits: Experience and driving experience in sanitation or recycling Local knowledge of Tidaholm Training and driving experience with wheel loaders (but not required – don't hesitate to apply anyway) We Offer Varying work where you get to work with different tasks and in different work environments.
