Job Responsibilities
Berg - a recognized excellent educational municipality! In preschools and schools in Berg Municipality, well-educated and dedicated staff work to give the municipality's children and youth the best conditions for lifelong learning. In Berg Municipality there are seven primary schools, two of which extend to grade nine: Myrviken and Svenstavik. We are looking for someone who is interested in and qualified to teach mathematics, natural science subjects including physics, chemistry, and technology to our students in grades 6-9 at Svenstavik School.
Your main task as a teacher is to plan, implement, and follow up on instruction. In this role, you work with other school staff to reach and strengthen each individual student's knowledge development. Svenstavik School uses the supermentorship concept; together we work for increased development, learning, and influence of all our students in instruction. Our children should have fun, feel safe, and be able to develop according to their own conditions. Respect, responsibility, joy, community, and equal value for all are guiding principles in our operations.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a certified primary school teacher with qualifications to teach mathematics, natural science subjects, or who has other pedagogical education deemed equivalent. You are well familiar with the national curricula for primary school operations and have very good knowledge of the Swedish language (both spoken and written). We consider it a merit if you have work experience and experience with systematic development work.
Berg Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality, and we therefore consider it a merit if you have knowledge of South Sámi language and culture.
