As a meal assistant with us, you'll become an important part of a dedicated team where meals are a time for community, energy, and learning – and you'll play a central role in creating a comfortable and educational meal environment.
The Role of Meal Assistant with Us
At Fjordskolan, a lower and middle school with approximately 340 students in total, we have three receiving kitchens that accept warm meal deliveries from Aranäsgymnasiet. In two of the kitchens one person works alone, and in the third, two people work together. The available position is in one of the kitchens where you work alone. In your own kitchen, you'll plan and prepare the alternative meal, as well as side dishes such as salad, potatoes, rice, and pasta. You'll also handle dishwashing and cleaning, place orders for food and supplies, report statistics, order portions, and more. You're expected to answer questions about the menu, allergies, and special diets, as well as understand regulations regarding the handling of chemical products.
Your Profile
You enjoy working both independently and as part of a group, have a positive attitude, and a good sense of service. You take responsibility for your tasks and are skilled at organizing and planning your own work and collaborating with colleagues. We hope you share our views on good team spirit and work joy as keys to a pleasant workplace. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
We're Looking for Someone Who:
has training in institutional/commercial catering or restaurant work, or has experience from similar work that the employer considers equivalent
has basic computer skills for ordering in e-commerce and personnel reporting
has through experience or training gained good knowledge of food hygiene and knowledge of special diets

We offer a permanent employment (vacation cover position), full-time at 100% starting at the fall term 2026 by agreement.
