Student Support Worker and LSS Aftercare for Autism Spectrum Program

AST is a small municipal group of approximately 25-30 students in grades 4-9 with 11 staff members who all have extensive experience and specialized knowledge in NPF. Teaching takes place largely in our own facilities, with certain subjects held at Thunmanski School's premises and at Hälsohuset. We have our own student health team and a dedicated special education teacher. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES We are seeking a dedicated and responsible team member who wants to be part of our municipal autism spectrum program, which is moving from Adolfsbergsskolan to Valloxskolan (separate facility) this fall. With us, you have the opportunity to develop within a future-oriented profession and work in a meaningful and varied work environment. This position is a combined role including LSS aftercare. In our activities, you work with young people who have various functional variations, primarily within the autism spectrum. You actively work for student participation and adapt your approach based on their needs to help them achieve their full potential. The position is divided into two parts: Both parts involve the same students and take place in the school's facilities. During school hours, you provide support to students during lessons, at breaks, participate in some planning, assist teachers, and collaborate with teachers and other resources. After school, we provide LSS aftercare for our students where you and colleagues plan and implement various activities with the students. By fall, we expect to have 7 students requiring aftercare. Our LSS aftercare is important in providing our students with the support they need to live as independently and actively as possible. QUALIFICATIONS Experience and strong interest in working with students within the autism spectrum, NPF, and IF is desirable. You are positive and view learning new skills in multiple ways as something natural. We are looking for someone with education from the care and service program with a focus on functional disabilities, or the children and leisure program with a focus on pedagogical and social work, or alternatively other education that the employer considers appropriate. It is an advantage to have experience and knowledge in low-arousal approaches, a pedagogical background, and experience working within LSS activities. You must have a command of the Swedish language both orally and in writing, as well as basic computer skills. As a person, you are responsible, have a respectful approach, and are calm and secure in yourself. You have good collaboration skills and can work both independently and in a group. You must be able to take responsibility and plan your work independently. You are flexible and responsive in your approach and can contribute to a positive work environment. You must keep students' needs at the center and maintain professional conduct with students, guardians, and colleagues. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability and relevant competence. Welcome to us! Sjögrenska Gymnasium is a small school that will move to beautiful new facilities this summer at CIK Center for Sports and Culture near the train station in central Knivsta. We currently have approximately 120 students and 20 staff. Our students study in the Childcare and Leisure Program, Sales and Service Program, and Healthcare and Care Program, all conducted as apprenticeship training. We also run the introductory programs IMA, IMS, IMV, and IMY. We will be launching a new ESF project in the fall that will run for approximately 2.5 years with a focus on increasing students' employability and helping them succeed in workplace-based learning.
