Welcome to work at a well-functioning primary school with experienced, dedicated, and educated teachers! At Mariaskolan we have approximately 55 employees and 300 students. The school has three work teams: preschool class/after-school care, grades 1-3, and grades 4-6. Each team has a team leader. The school is two-parallel in all grade levels. In addition, collaboration staff from the after-school center work in grades 1-2. The school's student support consists of special educators, counselors, school nurses, assistant principal, and principal. There is access to a school doctor and school psychologist. We work with systematic quality improvement through the Model. Evaluation tools and annual schedules have been developed collaboratively across the municipality's primary schools. Currently, professional development, SKUA, language and knowledge-developing work methods are underway. We are also conducting extensive work around NPF diagnoses to provide all students with good conditions. Job Responsibilities You will work as support staff during school hours, and one of your tasks may be to provide support and care to children with diabetes, including blood sugar measurement and insulin administration. You should have the ability to create a safe and inclusive environment for all children and collaborate with guardians and school staff to ensure children's well-being. Qualifications Child care training and pedagogical education or other relevant training are merits, as well as experience working with children in school or after-school care. Additional merits include nursing assistant training or strong knowledge of diabetes management and experience working with children with diabetes. Welcome to Olsboskolan, adapted primary school in Fagersta municipality! Here 65 students are distributed across three school units. We are located at Norrbyvägen 12, where students studying subject areas receive their instruction. At PerOlsskolan and Risbroskolan our students who study subjects are located. We also have students who are enrolled in the individual program within adapted upper secondary school. The school also includes an after-school center. Your Assignment One of our employees will be on leave during school year 26/27 and we are therefore seeking their replacement. We are also recruiting an additional position, a fixed-term employment for the next school year. We are organized in work teams where you work together with teachers and other resource personnel. In your work you follow the students through their school day. You provide close adult support both in the classroom and during transitions and transfers. Care work occurs and you work both at the group level and individually with certain students. Today we have 9 classes at the school; from grades 1-upper secondary. We work in mixed-age classes mainly with grade divisions 1-3, 3-6 and 7-9, as well as upper secondary. The positions will be placed in different classes, with different age groups and functional levels. What is common is that all students need significant support in their daily care. Your Qualifications and Merits We are seeking someone who is trained as a childcare worker, student assistant, support assistant, or has other equivalent education or experience. Experience with children with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is a requirement. You need to be able to speak and write fluent Swedish. Personal suitability is highly valued in the appointment and important qualities are ability to collaborate, flexibility, and good teamwork. Knowledge of and pedagogical consequences of intellectual disability and autism diagnoses is a requirement. Experience working with students in adapted primary school and after-school centers is meriting. You need to have good physical fitness as transfers and care work may be part of your duties.
