Plastics Technician wanted at ITW Sverige

Do you want to work close to production and be involved in developing both new and existing processes? ITW Sverige is now seeking a plastics technician who wants to take responsibility for test runs, improvement work, and optimization of injection molding processes. About the role In your role as a plastics technician at ITW Sverige, you will be responsible for test running and optimizing both new and existing tools in production. You will be involved in work with new products, where you plan and conduct test runs, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that production runs stably before being handed over to operations. A large part of the role involves analyzing and improving existing production runs. You work close to the machines to reduce downtime, shorten cycle times, and create production that is as efficient and safe as possible. The role also includes documentation of conducted tests and optimizations as well as close collaboration with machine operators, tool technicians, and the quality function. Your profile To succeed in the role of plastics technician at ITW Sverige, we believe you have good technical understanding and experience working in a production environment, preferably within plastics and injection molding. You have experience working practically with machines and enjoy analyzing, testing, and improving processes to create stable and efficient production. We believe you have knowledge of material properties, especially within plastics, and an understanding of how different parameters affect cycle times and quality. You are used to documenting your work and see the value in working structured to follow up and improve production results. As a person, you are curious, solution-oriented, and thorough. You enjoy collaborating closely with other functions and take responsibility for driving improvements forward. This role could suit you if you currently work as a machine operator and want to take the next step, or if you already have experience with optimization work in industry. Mandatory requirements for the position: • Relevant technical education or equivalent work experience • Knowledge of optimization work in industry, preferably within plastics • Swedish in speech and writing • B-class driver's license Merits for the position: • Previous experience as a machine operator About ITW ITW in Bredaryd is a manufacturing industrial operation that is part of the international corporation Illinois Tool Works (ITW). The company produces injection molded plastic parts and fastening elements, mainly for the automotive industry. Production takes place in an automated environment with injection molding machines and is conducted in shift operations. Customers are found in both the Swedish and international market, including Europe and USA. The operation in Bredaryd is part of ITW's global industrial structure.
