Would you like a developing and meaningful leadership assignment where you get the opportunity to make a real difference for both elderly residents and employees? The Social Services Department is now seeking a unit manager for our residential care facilities.
About the Role
As a unit manager, you join the Social Services Department's management team and have an important role in leading, developing, and following up on operations based on applicable legislation, political goals, and the organization's mission.
You have overall responsibility for quality, finances, personnel, and work environment at the municipality's two residential care facilities, Duvan and Svalan.
In a smaller municipality, the role entails broad and varied responsibilities where you need to feel confident handling many different issues, working independently, and knowing when you need to collaborate or seek support on various matters.
An important part of the assignment is working with staffing and resource allocation from a holistic perspective, where operational needs drive the planning.
Through present, clear, and engaged leadership, you create good conditions for safe care of high quality.
The assignment includes, among other things:
leading, allocating, and following up on operations
responsible for budget, forecasting, and financial monitoring
responsible for staffing and competence supply
drive change and development work
work with systematic quality assurance
collaborate with relatives, authorities, healthcare, and other stakeholders
monitor the external environment within the scope of the assignment and then implement this in practice
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with higher education in a relevant field and:
leadership experience within social services
experience with personnel responsibility
experience with budget work
experience with work environment efforts
good knowledge of the Social Services Act, Care of Older Persons Act, and relevant regulations
experience with change and development work
basic knowledge of labor law related to personnel responsibility and work environment
good administrative ability and experience working in management systems
good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
work in a politically governed organization
