We are participating in a project where Stegra AB establishes a steel mill in Norra Svartbyn in Boden where steel will be produced through an almost fossil-free process using hydrogen gas. Our mission is, among other things, to install machines used in steel production and includes work in mechanics, electronics and plumbing. We are seeking diligent Maintenance Technicians to join our team for the preservation and protection of mechanical equipment at a DRI plant. This role focuses on ensuring that machinery, currently stored or installed in open-air environments without HVAC systems, remains in optimal condition through rigorous preservation protocols. The work tasks may include but are not limited to: Job Description Environmental Protection: Implement measures to protect exposed machinery and equipment from adverse weather conditions and humidity. Corrosion Control: Apply VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) treatments and other surface protection methods to machined parts and sensitive surfaces. Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine greasing of bearings and execute periodic shaft rotations (turning) to prevent equipment degradation. I 19 is one of Sweden's largest regiments with operations in Boden, Kiruna, Tåme, and Grubbnäsudden/Lomben. The regiment's headquarters and command are located in Boden. The regiment's primary mission is to build combat units, and over the next few years, I 19 will progressively develop the new Norrbotten Brigade. By 2028, the regiment should be able to train, supply, and mobilize the entire brigade including the associated functional units; command, field operations, air defense, and logistics.
