As on-call emergency response personnel (part-time firefighter), you will enter a good community. You become an important resource for society and an asset in safety work at your job. You will be called out for various acute emergencies such as fires, traffic accidents, and other acute situations where lives may be at risk. You will undergo relevant training that gives you the right conditions to handle the job.
Your Responsibilities
Work in response teams, participate in training and exercise activities, perform basic maintenance of equipment and vehicles. You will work with other firefighters under stressful conditions, which requires good teamwork and social competence. You should be able to work independently and take your own initiatives. The position involves on-call duty every third week, during which you must be able to arrive at the fire station within 5 minutes of an alarm. Training activities occur at approximately 50 hours per year, preferably in the evenings.
Your Profile
To become a part-time firefighter with us, you should:
Be over 18 years old
Live and work near the fire station so that you can meet the 5-minute response time.
Have full vision and hearing.
Pass our treadmill work test, medical examination, and work-related ECG requirements with approved results.
Have a driver's license, at least category B, but be prepared to obtain category C (the fire service covers the cost)
Be able to swim
Provide a letter from your primary employer confirming that you are permitted to leave your workplace when an alarm is called during regular working hours.
To thrive in this role, you have teamwork skills, initiative, and are flexible. You are positive, communicative, and work without pretense.
