As General Counsel, you provide legal support and advice to all of the municipality's departments and companies. The assignment is broad and spans several areas of law, with emphasis on municipal law, administrative law, and corporate law. 1 position(s). DUTIES You work close to political leadership, managers, and employees throughout the organization. Our operations often have strong expertise within their respective legal areas – your role is to contribute an overarching legal perspective. You interpret, weigh, and provide guidance on complex and sometimes boundary-crossing issues, where the law needs to function in practice. You also handle your own cases and collaborate with colleagues in the organization. Over time, the assignment may also include the role of data protection officer. You represent the municipality in legal matters and can, when needed, act as counsel in disputes. You also conduct information and training initiatives and contribute to strengthening legal expertise in the organization. You have experience with contract drafting, work to reach agreements, and have a good understanding of tactics, strategy, and legal consequences in negotiations. The assignment also includes developing working methods, routines, and governing documents to ensure high legal security, as well as assisting in preparing decision-making documents for political decisions. Organizationally, you will belong to the Office of the Chief Executive under the Chief Executive's Office, where we are responsible for the political decision-making apparatus, information security, digital operations development, and security and preparedness issues. QUALIFICATIONS • Law degree (270 ECTS credits) • Broad legal expertise with experience in municipal law, administrative law, and administrative procedure • Several years of experience in qualified legal work, preferably within the public sector • Ability to independently drive cases and processes forward • Excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English • Experience working as an advisor and close to operations • We place great importance on personal suitability.
