OUR OPERATION:
We strive to be a beautiful and representative farm in a village with two UNESCO World Heritage farms with a considerable number of visitors.
The farm also has a simple summer café and a small heritage building shop.
On the farm we have approximately 10 mountain cattle, 15 Hälsinge sheep, Gotland rabbits, and landrace chickens in a living gene bank. We cultivate approximately 15 hectares of land plus some forest and make our own hay. Currently we do not milk, but we would very much like you to have good experience with cattle and calves.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We seek a driven, thorough, and considerate person who wants to be part of a living small farm and self-sufficiency operation with preservation of our Nordic landrace breeds.
We seek a strong, wise, and preferably enterprising person who enjoys physical work and ideally has practical skills. You should be able to work independently and take responsibility for what needs to be done on a farm. You need to be in good health. You should be stress-resilient and able to handle many different tasks in a day at a fast pace. When working with animals, anything can happen. Births, escapes, supervision of lambs and calves, etc., so you should also be willing to step in when needed and be flexible with your working hours.
You should be able to communicate and be honest, and feel responsibility for our beautiful and unique buildings.
It is required that you perform all tasks with a positive attitude, thoroughly but still quickly and efficiently. This creates a more pleasant work environment where everything is in its place and streamlines the work. Our guiding principles are passion, respect, honesty, and joy. We want to be a model for other similar farms.

REQUIREMENTS:
Driver's license category B
Good Swedish is a requirement, as documentation, regulations, and all information about the animals are in Swedish.
Non-smoker, as the farm is a smoke-free workplace.
MERITS:
You should
-have good animal care skills and be able to handle animals
-understand why careful cleaning is essential.
-be able to maintain order of tools and everything on a farm.
-have tractor experience and be able to maintain older farm equipment and machinery.
Preferably be able to handle a chainsaw and brush cutter.
