JOB DUTIES Work as a government administrator within the subsistence support team involves handling and investigating economic assistance. In the team, four administrators work together and are led daily by a coordinator. The Social Services' authority unit encompasses all government administration working together with good conditions for close collaboration. We work together actively to find sustainable solutions for those we meet. Internal and external collaboration is important to us because we know it leads to better solutions for our users. We know that a prerequisite for maintaining high quality in our operations is that employees receive proper support and sufficient time for each case. We offer case guidance together with our coordinator every week and as needed. Within the unit, there are system administrators who provide support in our operations system Lifecare. We also have external supervision. We are now making a major investment in working with AI as documentation support linked to our operations management system, which we implemented in the spring. During the previous year, stronger collaboration with the municipality's employment unit was established, with a focus on moving individuals toward self-sufficiency. With the new law regarding activity requirements coming into force 2026-07-01, we are preparing for this work through close collaboration with the employment unit to comply with legal requirements. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone with a degree from a social work program or other higher education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working in social services and economic assistance is considered meritorious. We are seeking someone with the ability to understand others' perspectives and situations, and the ability to coach and motivate people toward change. You are communicative, clear, attentive to your counterpart, and able to formulate information or messages so that everyone understands. You are empathetic and confident and choose to contribute to a good work climate. We are seeking someone who considers themselves responsible and works in a structured and systematic manner. DUTIES Work as a government case officer within the group involves handling and investigating economic assistance, domestic violence, harmful substance use and addiction, social psychiatry, and LSS. Within adult case management, daily work is led by a coordinator and consists of two work groups. Economic assistance consists of four case officers and the adult group consists of three case officers. The Social Services authority unit consists of all authority exercises jointly with good conditions for close collaboration. The position will be a combined role within these areas to strengthen the groups. In the adult group, one of the case officers will project lead work on domestic violence at 50% and within economic assistance, work is underway to prepare for the law change regarding activity requirements that take effect 2026-07-01. We work together and actively to find sustainable solutions for those we meet. Internal and external collaboration is important to us as we know it leads to better solutions for our users. We know that a prerequisite for maintaining high quality in the operations we conduct is that employees receive proper support and sufficient time for each case.
