Land and Development Engineer
We are looking for someone who wants to work independently and take personal responsibility as our new Land and Development Engineer, while maintaining a close and unpretentious collaboration with your colleagues. Together, you will be part of a larger department where many competencies work together.
Job Responsibilities
As a Land and Development Engineer at Bergs Municipality, you will have a central role in the municipality's land and development work. The work involves various issues throughout all phases of the community development process with varying tasks, from initial concept through implementation phase. Your responsibilities include land negotiations and preparing various types of agreements, such as land allocation agreements, purchase agreements, development agreements, easements, leases, as well as representing the municipality as a landowner in various contexts. Work with local traffic regulations and other infrastructure issues is also part of the assignment. You will also prepare materials for political decisions and work on developing investigations, economic analyses, and implementation planning.
Since it is important to include property and implementation issues in the detailed planning process, you will also participate in that.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of higher education in surveying, community development, real estate economics, or other education that the employer considers equivalent and relevant for the position. You have good knowledge of property and land matters, good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, and a valid B-class driver's license.
It is meritorious if you have experience with land and development issues within municipal operations, property law and surveying matters, project management, contract negotiations, or work with detailed plans and other community development projects. Experience working in a politically governed organization is meritorious.
Berg is a Sami administrative municipality and we therefore consider it meritorious if you have knowledge of South Sami language and culture.

You are engaged, solution-oriented, and enjoy taking responsibility for your work tasks. Since the role involves many contact points with other departments, developers, property owners, and politicians, it is important that you are comfortable speaking to different audiences and can listen and communicate in a clear and engaging manner. You also find it easy to create and develop good relationships and enjoy working in a role where collaboration is an important part of the work. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.

Starting salary range 32,000-42,000:-, employment according to General Terms (AB), 6 months probation may be applicable.
